1.1 General Information
AAEM(Acetoacetoxyethyl Methacrylate) is a methacrylic monomer used to formulate high-solids solution acrylic resins and acrylic emulsions for lower VOC emission industrial and architectural coatings. It is mainly used for low VOC solvent based paint resin to reduce its viscosity.
AAEM readily polymerizes with other acrylic and methacrylic monomers.
